A section of the National Railway Museum's diesel team has recently started to restore 55002.

The Koyli group aims to restore the locomotive back to running order for use on preserved railways. This includes re fitting all items that have been removed from the locomotive. The boiler if at all possible will also be refurbished.

Substantial work has already been made to the project and the locomotive, now on display in the Flying Scotsman exhibition, has already been in the workshop.

Please help the team make this possible with only minimum cost involved, to obtain this quest.
